# A quick introduction ![[alex-toyota-japan-public.jpg]] Hey I’m Alex, a former professional software developer who built projects for finance, real estate, agriculture, transport and education. These days I live in northern Western Australia with my beautiful wife and work as an Automotive Electrician for Volvo Trucks with a passion for electro mobility. I was very slowly building a tool company called Wedgefield, but recently decided I'm not ready to deal with the issues and risks that come from building and selling tools for working on million-dollar pieces of equipment... So I will be open sourcing my current and future projects on this site and [Github](https://github.com/alexmills) for anyone to use. This site will be thoughts, experiences, and updates on the projects I'm working on. This won't be a traditional blog so don't expect consistent updates but each new worthy development or thought will be posted here.
